Downsize and Get Organized was started to help people through the often-unwieldy task of sorting through years worth of stuff and creating an organized environment. Owner Susana Enriquez is a former journalist who worked for the Los Angeles Times and Newsday (Long Island, NY) and has been published in the Ventura County Star. The compassion, honesty and attention to detail that made Susana a good journalist are the same characteristics she brings to organizing. Susana became an ardent organizer during her childhood: She alphabetized her books, kept the game pieces for her board games in plastic baggies to keep them from getting lost and neatly stashed her clothes in her drawers. These days, Susana continues to live an organized life: she arranges her shirts according to color and sleeve length and keeps meticulous files. It’s that passion for all things organization that she hopes to share with everyone, just as she has with her organizationally-challenged family and friends.
